4th of July Celebrations

Our neighborhood and several others in town have 4th of July parades.   The kids decorate their bikes,  everyone gets decked out in red, white and blue, the pets get involved, and our neighborhood has a firetruck to lead the way. Others in town even have neighborhood marching bands!  After our parade, the kids can get their faces painted and have a Popsicle while the parents chat.  When the sun starts to go down, the fireworks come out and it looks like a war zone! (lol) I love these neighborhood get-togethers that are still very traditional even in our modern, ever-changing present day.  Here are some vintage 4th of July celebrations-
